Over the last half term Year 3 at Queen’s College have been studying the Vikings. They have discovered where the Vikings came from, why they decided to invade Britain and how they lived once they had settled. The children have been learning Viking songs, watching Viking sagas and preparing posters to share with each other. As you can see from the photographs they also made some magnificent Viking boats. Each student made their own design for the sails on their boat. Although every child made their own boat, there was a great deal of collaboration, holding onto each others boats whilst masts were being fixed securely or sharing ideas about their overall designs. Year 3 should be very proud of their boats - they are sturdy and full of detail!
